50’s Prime Time
Are you looking to time travel back to your grandmother’s kitchen, in the 1950’s? This one-of-a-kind table service dining will have you clearing your plate and using your manners while served by your aunt or cousin. If you don’t finish your dinner, you might not get dessert or worse have to stand in the corner. The kids love this dining, as it is fun to see older adults “get in trouble” for not adhering to the “rules”.

This dining location is in Hollywood Studios and theme park admissions is necessary to dine. You can easily use Disney transportation to arrive at Hollywood Studios (bus, boat, skyliner or walking from the EPCOT area). 50’s Prime Time Cafe is located on Echo Lake at the front of the park, right past the stores to the left. You can enjoy lunch and dinner daily; lunch is served from 10:45 AM to 3:55 PM and dinner is from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
If you arrive early and have to wait to be seated, this location offers a full-service bar. The Tune-In Lounge offers specialty cocktails that feature “electric ice cubes”. Our favorite drink here is the Indigo Hibiscus, they also serve beer and wine, as well as other signature cocktails. The offerings here are comfort food to start, tomato soup, onion rings, or wedge salad. The main courses are some of our favorites from growing up, fried chicken, chicken pot pie, old-fashioned pot roast, meatloaf and more. The peanut butter and jelly milkshake is a must try every time! Make sure to leave room for the chocolate-peanut butter layer cake or warm apple crisp!
The dress code is theme park casual, shorts and t-shirts are welcome! This is a family favorite for young and old. It is fun to have interactions with the cast members who are from the 1950’s. They are a hoot, and you never know what they are going to say! If you don’t want to have the fun banter, no worries, just let the host know that you are just there to enjoy the atmosphere and food. The meals here range from $15 to $35; it is different from most offerings in the parks and is good! We love coming in and getting a few laughs while we enjoy the pot roast, fried chicken and for dessert, peanut butter and jelly shake.
The Disney Dining Plan is accepted here, and reservations are recommended 60 days in advance, as this is a fan favorite. A walk-up reservation might be available but is not a guarantee. Disney Visa card holders, Vacation club and annual passholders receive a discount on food here as well. Order a cake at this location for any occasion in the My Disney Experience app, for an additional charge.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you can cancel on the My Disney Experience app up to 2 hours prior to the reservation. If you do not, the credit card used to hold the reservation will be charged a per person fee for failure to show. The policy of the restaurant is included in the confirmation email sent after the dining reservation was made.
