The Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory, includes three islands in the Western Caribbean Sea. Grand Cayman is the largest, known for its white-sand beaches and scuba/snorkeling sites. Cayman Brac is considered to be a favorite launch point for deep-sea fishing. Little Cayman, the smallest of the three, is known to have endangered iguanas and diverse wildlife. The Capital is George Town and the currency is the Cayman Island Dollar.
Points of Interest include Seven Mile Beach, Rum Point, Starfish Point, Turtle Centre, Sting Ray City, and Hell. These are located in Grand Cayman. My family enjoyed going to several of these locations.
We stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Club, which is not all-inclusive. Many resorts in the Caymans are not all-inclusive but totally worth going to. The white pristine sand along Seven Mile Beach is amazing. The Marriott is located in the middle of Seven Mile Beach.
This oceanfront resort is gorgeous and has many options for dining! Four options are on-site and several more places across the street! Veranda on Seven Mile Beach is a popular restaurant with vintage-inspired décor and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. They are open for lunch and dinner. The Den is known for pastries and bread. They serve Breakfast and Dinner. Anchor Bar & Lounge uses locally sourced products to create a globally inspired menu. You may order anything from sushi to crepes, and of course, they offer handcrafted cocktails. They also have grab-and-go options and are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The final dining place is called Vista Bar. This is a beachside and poolside restaurant open for lunch and dinner. It allows you to order food and drinks in between your water adventures. Across the street, you will find a few Italian restaurants and seafood restaurants as well as some other options!
Activities include a kids club, biking trail, jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and snorkeling. My kids enjoyed the kids club because they did crafts, games, and scavenger hunts. We still have some of the crafts they made today. The pool has movie nights where they inflate a TV screen and also have a bonfire for Smores. The adults can take part in a trivia night near the pool which was fun! This resort also includes a fitness center and a spa!
While in the Caymans we met up with a friend from back home who now lives in Cayman full time. He is known as the Cayman Santa. I mean he takes his role seriously by dying his beard and gaining weight in the winter months. If you go around the Holidays contact me and I will put you in touch with him! He is an amazing person! He was the one who took us to different areas of the Island including Sting Ray City, Hell and the Turtle Centre and Lagoon.
