Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is one of my favorite family-friendly resorts at Universal Orlando Cabana Bay is located adjacent to Volcano Bay water park and even has its own private entrance via a walking path from the hotel.
The theme of this resort is set in the 1950’s and 1960’s and your experience is complete with V05 shampoo and Zest soap in the bathrooms!
Cabana Bay Beach Resort has standard rooms and family suites.
The standard rooms are 300 square feet, have two queen beds, and sleep up to four. You can upgrade your standard room to a poolside view, or a volcano view. How amazing would it be to wake up and see the volcano flowing over at Volcano Bay?? That is one of my favorite views of the resort. All standard rooms include a flat-screen tv, a mini-refrigerator, and a coffee maker.
The family suites are 430 square feet, have two queen beds and a pull-out sofa bed, has a sliding privacy partition, and sleeps up to six. The family suites can be upgraded to an exterior entry room with convenient outdoor access or a poolside exterior entry. Each family suite includes a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, and a sink.
In addition, you can choose a two-bedroom suite with a Volcano Bay view. This spacious (772 square feet) two-bedroom suite has one queen bed, two full-size beds, and a pull-out sofa, sleeping up to eight. It also features two full bathrooms, a living room, 3 flat screen tv’s, and a kitchenette with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, and a sink. With an amazing view overlooking Volcano Bay, the two-bedroom suite is the perfect place for your family to spread out after a long day at the parks.

Cabana Bay Courtyard and Pool
The main courtyard area is host to shaded picnic tables, fire pits, and a pool with it’s very own waterslide! If you’ve had enough of getting in the water, you can relax poolside in a lounge chair or cabana (available to rent for a fee).
Lazy River Courtyard and Pool
Right outside of the Bayliner Diner, is my favorite part of Cabana Bay Beach Resort. This area is home to another pool with a sand beach area, a lazy river, beach loungers, and fire pits. Lounging from this pool area, you have a direct view of the volcano (which is a perfect place to relax (or work, if you have to) on a day off from the parks. Near the lazy river is a hut where you can purchase pool tubes. They will inflate your tubes (that you purchase or bring with you) at no charge. Hint, they will also deflate them for you before you leave!
Cabanas*
Poolside cabana for up to six people, with a tv and an in-house phone to order a pizza delivered straight to your cabana. My kids love the sand beach pool area with the lazy river and I love being able to watch them swim while working from a lounge chair with a view of Volcano Bay. We also love the family-friendly budget dining options. This resort is a great resort for those with kids who want a pool day relaxing when not at the parks.
