Have you ever cruised in a Concierge/Club level suite? Well, let me tell you how amazing it is! I recently experienced this cruise to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay with three other fellow agents. It is definitely the way to go!
Upon arrival at the port, there is a concierge line for guests to bypass the regular check-in line. Once in your room, you can go to the Concierge lounge, where there are snacks, drinks, and concierge staff to book any experiences on and off the ship for you. The drinks are top shelf alcohol from 5-10pm each night. Above this lounge is access to the top deck of the ship with lounge chairs and a hot tub, exclusively for concierge-level guests. We actually didn’t leave this area since it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff will even bring your food to your room, so you don’t even have to go to the dining rooms. The other nice thing was the private viewing for the firework show at night. A few other perks for staying concierge level is you are able to book the spa, cabanas at Castaway Cay, excursions, etc., 130 days prior to sailing, which is earlier than any other guest. As a concierge guest, you will also receive complimentary internet, separate disembark lines so you don’t need to join a virtual queue, and you can check out board games, DVDs, and CDs, which is a nice perk! My favorite part of the lounge is the coffee and iced coffees.
Our room was a one-bedroom concierge level suite, which included 2 bathrooms, numerous closets, a dining table, sofa and TV area, as well as a double-wide balcony. This is definitely very spacious compared to a normal stateroom. The king bedroom had sliding doors to make the room wide open or doors that could close at night for privacy. The master bath had a shower and a separate area with a bathtub and a double sink vanity. The other bed was a pulldown from the wall near the desk, and the final bed was the sofa sleeper. This room will comfortably sleep five people. Curtains divided the pulldown bed from the sofa sleeper, so everyone felt they had some privacy, which was nice. The room includes upgraded bath products called Elemis, which are used in the spa, and fruit basket, full-stocked refrigerator, and a coffee maker. You will feel like a VIP for sure!
We experienced the spa and did the rain showers/hydrotherapy. This was by far the most relaxing part of the vacation. We tried each shower and steam room as well as the heated loungers, which were my favorite. I highly recommend making time for yourself and enjoy a spa treatment whether it’s a massage or hydrotherapy.
Disney’s Private Island, Castaway Cay, is a fun and relaxing place for adults and kids. They actually have some adult only areas if you want to relax. However, there is a place with waterslides and fun activities for the families too. The island does have floats that you may rent; however, if you bring your own float they will put air in it for you at no extra cost.
