Walt Disney World’s ‘Ohana Restaurant
at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offers several different dining options, with quick-service bites and one of my favorite sweet spots for a Dole Whip on the Pineapple Lanai.

But if you are looking for a more substantial meal, be sure to try out ‘Ohana Restaurant for either all-you-care-to-eat American breakfast influenced by Polynesian flavors or dinner with Polynesian-themed music and delicious Hawaiian favorites. If you cannot visit the Hawaiian islands, a visit to ‘Ohana is a good substitute for a taste of Polynesia.

On our last visit to Walt Disney World, we planned breakfast at ‘Ohana on our non-park day. It is recommended to make advanced reservations to ensure that you can get a table. I only wish that I would have been able to eat more. All the food is served family-style, and if there is one particular dish that you enjoy, you can ask for more. Personally, I love the grilled ham & pineapple the most, but the sweet pineapple bread was a close second. But I love anything with pineapple.

Our kids were all smiles during breakfast. My daughter is a huge fan of Stitch, and while ‘Ohana isn’t quite the same without the character interactions, it is still a great experience.

One thing Walt Disney World guests may not know is that you can dine at any of the resorts, even if you don’t stay there, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is definitely one to check out.

For breakfast, enjoy all you care to eat seasonal fruit, pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, and breakfast skillets. Be sure to try the POG juice. It is delicious. The breakfast skillet includes:

  • scrambled eggs
  • pork sausage breakfast links
  • Hawaiian-style ham topped with pineapple (my favorite)
  • fried island-style potatoes
  • Mickey-shaped waffles and biscuits

For guests with food allergies, there are plant based options and allergen friendly options as well.

For dinner, all-you-care-to-eat dinner includes a selection of mixed green salad, honey-coriander chicken wings, pork dumplings, signature ‘Ohana bread served with honey butter, as well as the dinner skillet. The dinner skillet includes:

  • Wood-fire grilled teriyaki beef
  • Spicy peel-n-eat shrimp
  • Grilled chicken with Polynesian-inspired Chimichurri sauce
  • ‘Ohana noodles (back by popular demand)
  • Roasted broccolini

Be sure to save room for the delicious bread pudding. It is served ala mode with homemade caramel sauce.

If you have had an opportunity to eat at ‘Ohana we would love to hear your favorite dish.
