Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Have you been to Walt Disney World in the fall? Do you love how the parks decorate for Halloween? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a MUST-do while there. This is a special event that requires a ticket to stay at Magic Kingdom after it closes to the public. You will have access to the park and rides for a whole lot of spooktacular fun!

This frightfully fun event is select nights from August to October 31st. You will be able to see characters dressed in Halloween costumes, as well as yourselves and everyone around you! Seeing the costumes people come up with and the different themes is amazing! You will not be disappointed if you trick-or-treat the whole time or part of the time. All I can say is you will have a bag full by the end of the night!

Are you concerned about having a food allergy? No fear, Mickey’s got your back! When you first arrive, you will be given a regular black trick-or-treat bag; however, if you have allergies, you will be given a teal bag. If you have allergies to nuts, gluten, dairy, etc., you will be given a teal token at each trick-or-treat stop to turn in at the end of the night! I did the allergy route to experience this for my son, and the other agents did regular trick-or-treating for their kids. I was overwhelmed with all of the allergy-free items they offered… full-size Enjoy brand candy bars, Earth brand gummies, and many more options with ingredients listed on the packaging. I had an entire bag of allergy-friendly treats to bring home to my son!

During this special event, you may also ride on numerous rides with shorter lines since many people will be trick-or-treating. It is a great way to get on the rides and to experience some of the rides with NO LIGHTS on! My favorites are riding Space Mountain in the dark and going on the Haunted Mansion ride. Don’t be scared, but you will definitely have some surprises.

The parade at the end of the evening is led by no other than the Headless Horseman himself! The parade is thrilling and ghoulish! You can even arrange a dessert party and meet Cruella DeVille.
