Looking for a vacation that’s easy to please everyone in the family while visiting wondrous places? Are you desiring an itinerary that speaks to all ages in your household while not breaking the bank? Consider a cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, just one of their numerous, amazing ships!
The Oasis of the Seas has numerous itineraries annually, and their destinations are fabulous! The Bahamas, Mexico, Honduras, and Puerto Rico are just a few places you and your family can explore without unpacking your bags but once. Let’s talk about what the ship has to offer you and yours!
The Oasis of the Seas truly has something for everyone! Let’s start with kids! There are kids’ clubs, splash pads, two flow rider surf simulators, rock climbing, ziplining, mini golf, and ice skating! Did I mention the carousel and waterslides? On a recent Oasis of the Seas cruise, my children enjoyed laser tag in a glow-in-the-dark inflatable arena, as well as an escape room, and my son frequented the teens club enjoying music, movies, and gaming with others he made friends with on the cruise.
The dining options on this class of ship are phenomenal. We had a 7-night cruise and never got tired of the meals and snacks offered throughout the entire vacation. Our dining in the evening was 5:30pm… we sat together as a family and enjoyed the nightly specials and menu that included: escargot, pumpkin soup, lobster, steak, chocolate lava cake, and more!
During the day we frequented El Loco Fresh for Mexican food, Sorrento’s for pizza (open all hours), the Windjammer for a quick buffet meal, and also a delicious breakfast at Johnny Rockets! My husband and I enjoyed sushi at Izumi, and it was nothing short of fresh and flavorful! In the evenings, we frequented the Playmakers to watch our favorite baseball team, The Mets, along with other fans enjoying a beer and traditional bar food!
What is there to enjoy for the adults ages 18 and up? Daily bingo was my favorite, and we are talking cash prizes! Massages at the spa (for an additional fee) and word search in the morning with a hot cup of coffee as we sail to our next destination. There were shows and movies offered nightly. My particular favorite and must-not miss was Aqua 80. The Ultimate Abyss slide, The Comedy Live show, karaoke, concerts at the Music Hall, and a walk through Central Park were so fun we did many of these things more than once!
Depending on your itinerary, your ports will offer different excursions, places to dine, and shopping! We spent the day in the Bahamas shopping and then relaxing for a day at Margaritaville. The Perfect Day at CocoCay was pleasurable and had so much to do for all of us: swimming at the pool, sunbathing at the beach, an included buffet BBQ, and additional excursions were offered such as hot air balloon rides, admission to the CocoCay waterpark, jet skiing, and scuba diving! There are so many wondrous things to do at each port, you’re sure to have a great time with your family!
