Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort is an excellent choice for a character breakfast or delicious dinner at Walt Disney World! Both menus are prix-fixe and have a wide variety of options for the entire family.

Disney’s Riviera Resort is based on the French and Italian Riviera region in Europe.  The property has a Meditteranean flair and is a stunning hotel located on the Walt Disney World Skyliner.  Advance reservations are needed to dine at Topolino’s Terrace and can be challenging to obtain.  Dining reservations open 60 days before your vacation and are just one of the many services that Pineapple Escapes agents offer to our guests.

Getting There

If you’re staying on-property at one of the Skyliner hotels (Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, or Riviera Resort) it’s an easy ride to breakfast.  If you’re at another Walt Disney World Resort location, the easiest way to get to Topolino’s is via private car.  Minnie Vans, Uber, and Lyft are great options and relatively inexpensive for the time saved.  If you’re not wanting pay for transportation, you can also bus to Hollywood Studios and then take the Skyliner to the resort.

Breakfast

Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace is an experience all guests will enjoy – from the age of 1 to 101!  Breakfast begins with an artist’s palate of fresh pastries and bread – which is all delicious!  Each guest is able to select their entree option with options that range from quiche, delicious sour cream waffles, to more traditional options like steak and eggs.  POG juice is also a highlight!

In addition to the food, the highlight of breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace is the characters!  Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy – dressed as artisans – visit guests at their tables and have a special dance presentation during the meal.  For the young, and the young at heart, the characters make the food that much better!

For breakfast, the signature dress code is not enforced, but they do ask that all clothing be neat and clean and that swimwear is not worn in the restaurant.  They understand that many guests are headed to the parks and traditional park attire is welcomed during breakfast.

Dinner

French and Italian cuisine is served at dinner and is delicious.  Topolino’s has an impressive wine collection from the Mediterranean coast.  While there are no characters at dinner, the stunning view from the terrace outside allows a glimpse at both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.  Both parks are beautiful at night and this bird’s eye view is spectacular in the evening.

Dinner is a signature dining experience and considered fine dining with a magical flair.  Because the restaurant is a signature dining experience, there is a dress code and guests are asked to respect the restaurant’s upscale and sophisticated vibe.  While there is a kid’s menu and children are welcome at dinner, the breakfast is typically a better option for young kids.

Pricing

Both breakfast and dinner range from $35-59.99 per person, depending on the entree choice and additional food options.  This price does not include drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Times

Topolino’s is open for breakfast from 7:30 am to 12:15 pm each day and for dinner from 5 pm to 9:30 pm in the evening.  Advance reservations are needed and can be made starting 60 days before your trip.  Sometimes, last minute reservations do become available, so if this is on your list but you haven’t seen reservations, keep checking the app – even that day – for last minute cancelations.

Value

Jamie’s family loves Topolino’s and it is their favorite character dining experience.  Her family does not enjoy buffets, so Topolino’s is perfect for them – combining the characters with a delicious sit down meal.  The POG juice during breakfast and the beautiful views are an added plus.  When Jamie asked her family where they’d like to dine for their upcoming spring break trip, Topolino’s was at the top of everyone’s list!

Jamie recommends the quiche, sourdough waffle, and steak and eggs at breakfast.  A Mimosa is never a bad way to start a Disney day either – and Topolino’s does these right!

For dinner, the gnocchi, scallops or filet, fried brussel sprouts, and the warm chocolate cake (or creme brulee, depending on the day!) are all classic and delicious!
