Summer is HERE, and for a lot of families, that means road trip season! Growing up as a military family meant that we had long drives to anywhere during the summer. From taking vacations to visiting family, we always traveled by car. As an adult, my little family lives a good distance from most of our extended family, but not quite far enough to fly. Thus, we do a lot of long distance driving. There are a few ways that I prepare for a successful summer road trip, and it starts with vehicle organization.

Organization is key, as it allows us to prepare for most situations in advance. We have two younger kids, so having important items in easy to reach areas is so important. I am all about creating systems at home, so that everything has its place. I apply the same concept to my car, and these are a few items that I personally use to keep my vehicle organized.

A clean car can make a big difference when you’re spending hours in it. We use these products to keep the inevitable mess in our car from getting out of control. I hate to admit that we often eat in our car too, so keeping hand wipes easily accessible is important for us as well.

I’ve never used an air mattress inside a vehicle before, but if my husband tries to take me camping I would 100% take one with me!
