My family and I enjoyed this budget-friendly, all-inclusive resort in Aruba. It is located in the Palm Eagle Beach area north of Oranjestad. The beach is beautiful with white soft sand, and the ocean was only about 6 feet away from the resort! Across the street was an amazing little shopping center and an outside pavilion with different entertainment each night from singing to acrobats and everything in between! We enjoyed our horse carriage ride around the little town area so we could see everything that was located across from us!
We loved that they had a kids’ club and many activities on-site for the whole family to enjoy! This hotel offers 3 pools, 3 hot tubs, a spa, and a casino. There are free bike rentals and water sports equipment as well as racquets for tennis and balls to play basketball and volleyball. Motorized sports and scuba diving equipment are available, too!
This resort offers 4 restaurants and 3 bars. They are Coral Restaurant, Oceanside Bar and Grill, Sea Breeze Restaurant and Bar, and Da Vinci Ristorante. There is also Pizza Now and Puro Coffee. We enjoyed each of these restaurants; however, the Italian Ristorante was our favorite! Oceanside and Sea Breeze are both located outside with a nice rooftop covering. Each night they also offered a buffet-style themed meal like jerk chicken one night and BBQ a different night!
If you want to go off resort, there are a few places across the street that are really good – one is called Gianni’s Italian Ristorante. Gianni’s is known for its Parmesan Wheel. It comes out whole, they light it on fire with a little whiskey, then as it melts they add your pasta and cheese, etc.! Another popular restaurant is El Gaucho’s, an Argentinian Steakhouse. The most popular restaurant is downtown, south on the island where the locals go! You can’t beat the price and amount of fresh seafood at ZeeRovers in St. Nichol’s.
Nearby things to see and places to go: Bubali Bird Sanctuary, Old Dutch Windmill, Butterfly Farm, Antilla shipwreck, Arikok National Park, California Lighthouse, Natural Bridge Aruba, Renaissance Island (aka Flamingo Island).
We did a few excursions on this trip, which included the submarine to see the Antilla shipwreck, an ATV tour to see Natural Bridge Aruba, and Arikok National Park. Later, we parasailed and took a Catamaran cruise. All in all, we loved it! The weather is 82 degrees daily with a constant light breeze from the tradewinds. So, it is never too hot or too chilly! Another interesting fact is Aruba never has to worry about hurricane season because they are not in the hurricane belt!
