Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel

Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel is the closest resort to the theme parks and is only a 5-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios!  There is also water taxi transportation from the resort to CityWalk.  Staying at Hard Rock is the most convenient of the on-property options and makes getting to the park easy! The hotel has a traditional Hard Rock theme with fun rockstar and rock ‘n’ roll vibes with a California mission-style design.  The pool features underwater music, and there is rock memorabilia everywhere at this fun and family-friendly resort. 

Room Types

Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel has standard rooms, Club Level rooms, and suites.  Suites are the ultimate in rock ‘n’ roll luxury!  There are suites that can accommodate any family – including some with a baby grand piano!  Club level is a great option at Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel. The Rock Royalty lounge includes coffee starting at 6:30 am, morning continental breakfast from 7-10:30 am, snacks from 12-4 pm, and evening hot and cold hors d’oevres and snacks, as well as wine and beer from 5-7 pm and desserts from 8-10 pm each day.  My family has personally stayed club level several times, and we love the added value and convenience!  It’s perfect for a family with teenage boys… just sayin’.  Your favorite Pineapple Escapes’ agent can help guide you to the ideal room type for your vacation!

A variety of cocktails, beers, and wine are also available. Velvet BarSleek with true rock star swagger, the Velvet Bar is a great place to relax with cocktails and appetizers while listening to live music.  Quick-Service Emack and Bolio’s Marketplace A great grab-n-go option located in the hotel!  They are known for their ice cream, smoothies, and coffee.   Table-Service The KitchenAmerican favorites with a twist! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are serviced daily.  Top picks include Bloody Marys at breakfast, shrimp tacos for lunch, and their famous mac-n-cheese for dinner.  The kids’ menu is great too! The PalmA classic New York steakhouse in Orlando!  This is a great spot to enjoy a delicious and more refined meal!  The theming includes caricatures of celebrities in homage to the newspaper district of Manhattan where cartoonists would exchange drawings for their meals.  Specialties include aged steaks, lobster, and a dash of Italian as well!

Why We Love It

Universal’s Hard Rock Hotel is one of our favorite resorts on Universal property.  The close proximity to Universal Studios and CityWalk, water taxi transportation, and complimentary Express Passes make it a great spot for a family wanting to spend their time in the parks!   It’s also a great spot for those who love music, rock ‘n’ roll, and all of the history.  With fun theming and the rockin’ vibes, music buffs will enjoy every minute!  They can even listen to music in the pool!
