I had the opportunity to visit Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa with a few of my fellow Pineapple Escapes agents back in February 2021. This was my first visit to an all-inclusive resort, and it was A.MAZ.ING!!! True unlimited luxury.
Located in the exclusive gated community of Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, Secrets Cap Cana is an all-inclusive, adults-only resort with a beautiful beach & pools, fantastic accommodations, delicious food & drinks, and top-notch service! The stretch of beach here is gorgeous… the resort faces the Caribbean Sea along the exclusive Juanillo Beach with clear water and white sand!
There are a variety of room categories to choose from including the Junior Suite Tropical View, Junior Suite Pool View, Junior Suite Partial Ocean View, Junior Suite Ocean View, and Junior Suite Swim Out.
If you’re looking to experience an even higher level of luxury, then the Preferred Club is for you! Enjoy an upgraded suite, access to an exclusive lounge, special concierge service, and other enhanced amenities. Preferred Club room categories include those listed above as well as the Bungalow Suite Pool View, Bungalow Suite Swim Out Pool View, Bungalow Master Suite Pool View, Bungalow Suite Ocean Front, Bungalow Suite Swim Out Ocean Front, Bungalow Master Suite Ocean Front, Master Suite Ocean Front, Master Suite Plunge Pool Ocean Front, Master Suite Swim Out Ocean Front, and the Presidential Suites.
I stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Tropical View with a peekaboo view of the ocean. The suite had sophisticated Caribbean décor and included a mini bar, sitting area, incredible shower, and soaking tub on the furnished balcony. If you’re looking for elegant options, check out the bungalow and swim out suites. We were able to tour a few of these, and they are definitely luxurious! Bucket list!
Staying in Preferred Club (the highest level of luxury) gives you exclusive access to the Preferred Club lounge, pool, restaurant & bar, private area of the beach, and your very own butler – Hi Steves! 😊 Additionally, the Preferred Club offers upgraded alcohol, service on the beach, and extra-cushy lounge chairs. I’m definitely spoiled after staying in the Preferred Club!
Pools on property include the Infinity Pool, Preferred Club Pool (exclusive for Preferred Club guests), and two outdoor whirlpools.
One of the best parts of an all-inclusive is the food, and Secrets Cap Cana did not disappoint! There are several resort restaurants and bars to choose from:
Bordeaux – French cuisine
El Patio – Mexican cuisine
Himitsu – Pan-Asian cuisine
Market Café – international buffet
Oceana – fresh seafood
Portofino – Italian cuisine
Rosewater – exclusive for Preferred Club guests
Seaside Grill – grilled specialties
Barefoot Grill – light lunch specialties poolside
Coco Café – premium coffee & snacks
Barracuda – beach & pool bar
Manatees – swim-up bar
Rendezvous – lobby bar
Sugar Reef – beach & pool bar
We enjoyed Rosewater for breakfast & lunch; dinner at El Patio, Oceana, and Himitsu; desserts from Portofino & Bordeaux; and chicken fajitas and nachos (on more than one occasion, lol) at the Barefoot Grill. We didn’t even have time for room service!
It really feels like you’re in paradise with the beautiful surroundings and incredible service. I especially enjoyed our time relaxing on the beach and poolside… our drinks were kept filled, and we were served fresh coconut, crepes, and a barbecue lunch! We were also able to visit the spa and experience the hydrotherapy circuit and massage. The resort also offers nightly shows (similar to what you might see on a cruise ship) and other on-site activities. Of course, you can always add excursions to your stay – the Saona Island tour is highly recommended!
