A Few of Our Favorite Excursions

Let’s talk about excursions while on vacation! Are you a thrill seeker?  Or the laid-back type?  Do you like to explore or lay on a beach?  I will start with saying no matter where I travel, I like to explore and learn.  Does it mean I’m a history buff?  No, it means I like to learn the culture and foods of the area I am visiting. I want to see the important or iconic spots as well. 

What types of excursions do we like?  It depends on the location!  If we are going to a place with amazing scuba diving then of course we will scuba dive. If going to a place that has a National Park then yes, we will pay to get into that National Park.  However, we also love doing some fun excursions like parasailing and ziplining.  My kids will say riding a bobsled through the rainforest in Jamaica was their all-time favorite.  Yes, this is where the Jamaican Olympic Bobsled team originally practiced.  Does this remind you of the movie Cool Runnings?  If you know, you know! In the Bahamas you should swim with the pigs!  Taking a submarine is always fun.  Sunset cruises are relaxing, and ATV rides in National Parks are thrilling. There are way too many excursions than I can list!  However, our agents can help you narrow down your options based on your likes and preferences.

Europe is another place where doing excursions in beneficial.  If you want to see the Colosseum and the Vatican and major places like that, then I would recommend booking an excursion that states “Skip the Line.”   Several Pineapple Escapes agents were recently in different countries in Europe.  We all pre-booked excursions that included the Colosseum in Rome, a boat ride on the Amalfi Coast, and the bus tour to Oia in Greece to see the iconic blue-domed rooftops.  We toured Pompeii and places in France, Turkey, and Spain as well. The ruins and architecture from back in the day is absolutely amazing.  To see something built so long ago and still standing is breathtaking. 

I think if you have not taken the opportunity to book an excursion while on a vacation, then you need to at least try it next time!  I think one day out of your weeklong vacation will allow you to create memories for a lifetime.  Let us know your thoughts on an excursion after you finally try one.
