Cruises

Have you ever been on a cruise? My family and I love taking cruises. There are many good reasons to take a cruise! First, it’s all-inclusive with lots of entertainment! Secondly, you will experience many cultures and traditions at each port of call. Lastly, you get to see many places (countries or islands) on one trip!

The cruise ships are amazing! You don’t even realize you are on a ship since they are so enormous. The amount of things to do varies on each ship, but most have movie screens by the pools. Some ships have waterslides, rock climbing, ice skating, laser tag, surfing, race car tracks, etc. Every ship will have some type of Broadway show to keep you entertained. Parents, do you prefer a night at the club playing trivia or some other game? Well, guess what? Kids’ clubs are available on every ship, and let me tell you the kids will absolutely LOVE it! They will meet other kids and have a friendship years later thanks to social media!

The food options are never-ending! There is a buffet as well as sit-down dining. They even have specialty dining rooms that you may try (not included in the cruise price) but let me tell you some of the meals in those restaurants are worth the extra money to try out one night! If you have the beverage package you may have an unlimited amount of alcoholic drinks from beer to mixed drinks as well as wine and everything in between! When you stop at each port, you may also venture out and try any type of food they are known for!

We love doing different excursions at each port of call. When we did our European cruise on Disney Magic, we went to England, Denmark, and Norway! Each country was a little bit different from the other! The kids loved seeing the Changing of the Guards at the Queen’s quarters. We also enjoyed seeing where the Winter Olympics were held in Norway. However, Tivoli Gardens in Denmark, (where Walt Disney got his inspiration to create his own parks) was our favorite! We rode rides and had a blast there!

The other top cruise that we did was our Alaskan cruise! We loved seeing the whales, moose, bear, mountain goat, etc.! The glaciers were amazing and panning for gold was a hit with the kids! We toured a museum and road the Alaskan Tram lift to get to the top of a mountain. The final thing we did was attend the Lumberjack show! That was a hoot! All in all, Alaska was absolutely beautiful!
