Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is an economical resort on Walt Disney World property. I love the retro vibe from the 1950s-90s! It is located near the Skyliner for easy transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios!
Pop Century is located in the Wide World of Sports resort area and is one of Walt Disney World’s value hotel options.
The resort has a decades theme, and each area focuses on a decade from the 1950s to the 1990s, with the theme of American Pop Culture. The resort is built alongside Hourglass Lake. Classic Hall is the main lobby where guests can check in, dine, and shop. The resort includes larger-than-life trends including a yo-yo, rollerblades, Play-doh, and Rubik’s cubes. The decades are represented through catchphrases, toys, dances, and fashions.
Pop is located on Disney’s Skyliner system, allowing guests to take the Skyliner to both the Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Bus transportation is available to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, and the water parks.
Room Types

Pools
Hippy Dippy Pool
With a 1960’s theme featuring a flower-shaped pool with flower sprinklers, this pool is a great place to spend a warm Orlando afternoon. It’s located behind Classic Hall in the middle of the resort. This is also the location where guests can view movies under the stars on select nights! Disney movies are played on a large screen while guests relax or swim. Snacks and drinks are available poolside at Petals Pool Bar.
Bowling Pool
This pool is more for relaxing! It is shaped like a bowling pin and has the 1950’s vibe! It is located near the 50’s themed rooms on the East side of the resort.
Computer Pool
The Computer Pool is 1990’s themed. It is shaped like a computer and includes a giant floppy disc and keypad. Located near the 90’s themed rooms on the West side of the resort.
Complimentary towels are provided at each pool!
Restaurants and Bars On-Site
Bars
Petals Pool Bar
Poolside bar with food, snacks, and quick-bite options. A variety of cocktails, beers, and wine are also available. Try a Tropical Banana Cabana or Poolside Iced Tea! Located at Hippy Dippy Pool.
Quick-Service
Everything POP
A great grab-n-go option located in the Classic Hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This spot truly has a bit of everything – nachos, baked potatoes, pasta, sandwiches – there are so many choices. We recommend the tie-dyed cheesecake for dessert!
Disney Resorts Pizza Delivery
Have a late night at the park but hungry? Enjoy pizza delivered right to the room! It is very yummy too!
Why We Love It
Pop Century is our top choice for economical options at Walt Disney World. Of the value resorts, it has the benefit of being on the Skyliner, having two queen beds (instead of two doubles), wonderful food options, fun pools, and unlike the All-Star resorts, it doesn’t share a bus. Guests enjoy the fun theming and the variety of pop culture icons. It is located on Hourglass Lake right next door to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which is fun to walk through as well! And did I mention there is also a Game Room for the kids!!
The Skyliner is a great perk of staying onsite at Pop Century!
