Snuggling on the couch yesterday morning, my sweet girl looked up at me and said, “Mom, do you think I’m too old for princesses? I am a first grader now.” And just like that, I felt my heart break a little bit. Before my eyes, my precious daughter was growing up – straddling the line between big kid and little girl. The reason I have taken my children to Walt Disney World so many times at such young ages is because I absolutely adore the looks on their faces as they witness the awe, wonder, innocence, and magic that is Disney World – snow on Main Street, a chat with Rapunzel, a hug from Mickey Mouse. These are the memories I cherish dearly. We leave for Disney in just a few short months, and although I know it will be different this time, I will again take in these special moments and hold them close to my heart, knowing all to well just how fleeting they are. Looking back, will she remember every trip she’s taken to The Most Magical Place on Earth? Probably not – but I sure will.
