Icon of the Seas

There is so much to be excited about when it comes to Royal Caribbean’s new mega ship – Icon of the Seas – setting sail in 2024! This new mega ship has 20 decks, is 1,198 feet long, and has a maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers and 2,350 crew members.

All 3 Icon cruises in 2024 are 7 night itineraries out of Miami and all will stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay – Royal Caribbean’s private island and water park. All itineraries are subject to change.

7-night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day at CocoCay itinerary 1 will depart Miami and make port at Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and Perfect Day at CocoCay before returning to Miami.

7-night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day CocoCay itinerary 2’s first port of call is Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; and then Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The 3rd Icon itinerary is 7-night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day at CocoCay, stopping at Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya, Mexico; Cozumel, Mexico; and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

If the destinations alone don’t get you excited to set sail on the Icon, the features and amenities sure will!

If you love water slides, Icon of the Seas has an area called Trill Island on Deck 20 where all six record-breaking water slides are located. Thrill Island is considered a Category 6 water park and the largest water park at sea. If you’re less of a thrill seeker and more of a chill seeker, there are 7 pools to choose from ranging from adults-only to infinity edges to Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea. Of course, all Royal Caribbean cruises are fully-staffed with safety personnel to ensure your family is watched after while having the time of their lives. When it gets too hot, make a pit stop in Absolute Zero – the largest ice rink at sea!

When the sun goes down (or even when it is still beaming), there are plenty of places to hang out that are kids only, adults only, and where everyone is welcome. The Icon of the Seas houses over 15 different areas to meet other cruisers, enjoy live entertainment, sing your heart out, play games, or just enjoy the company of your family and friends.

The Icon of the Seas will have a slightly different layout than the Royal Caribbean ships you’re used to. There are 8 different neighborhoods, each with their own theme and features: Aquadome, Central Park, Chill Island, Royal Promenade, Surfside, Suite Neighborhood, The Hideaway, and Thrill Island. To see a computer-generated rendering of each neighborhood, click this link and take a look!

This ship is so massive and so well thought out, your days at sea are going to be just as exciting and adventurous as your port days. If you want to experience the Icon with your favorite travel agency, Pineapple Escapes is hosting a group aboard the Icon of the Seas departing on June 29, 2024 on the first 7-night Eastern Caribbean outlined earlier in this article. We sincerely hope you can join us!
