International travel provides so many opportunities to experience different cultures, backgrounds, and ways of life. This week, Jamie is joined by Ben Arnold to discuss international travel and what they
have missed during the pandemic.
Ben works in health care, is married to his wife, Jill, who is a special education teacher, and together they love to travel all over the world. They have traveled across Europe and South America and Ben’s true passion is international travel.
The pandemic has been challenging for Ben, not only due to lack of international travel but also due to the impact in his local community, within his family, and in his and his wife’s careers.
Ben’s true passion is international travel and he highlights some of his favorite international trips including London, the Christmas markets in Germany and Austria, and Rio. Ben and his wife travel as often as they can when she is on breaks from teaching.
Jamie loves international travel as well and has loved being able to experience many destinations through the eyes of her three children. Their first international trip included 5 nights in London followed by a Disney Cruise with ports in Iceland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Jamie’s family also loved the Christmas Markets, especially Munich and Garmish, and visiting Cape Town and a safari in South Africa.
Ben has only traveled domestically since COVID and Jamie has only been to St. Lucia. It’s been a challenging year with many trips rescheduled and moved to the upcoming years. Ben is hoping to get to London during the summer of 2021 and Jamie is hopeful that her family will make it to Machu Picchu.
This week’s travel favorite is 4 ½ Pineapple Rings is a Universal Travel Adapter!
This is definitely a must-have item when traveling internationally and both Jamie and Ben use similar adapters that they found on Amazon. Jamie likes the Epicka Universal Travel Adapter because it has numerous USBs which make it ideal for traveling with her family. Jamie’s family typically packs two for her family of 5 when traveling. The adapter that Ben uses is very similar but a different brand.
