Located in the Epcot resort area is Disney’s newest deluxe hotel, the Riviera Resort. The design concept for this gorgeous resort is inspired by the elegance and old-world glam of the French and Italian Riviera’s with an added touch of Disney’s sophisticated whimsy.
The main lobby is smaller and more intimate than the grand lobbies you might find at other Deluxe Disney Resorts. This is a style feature reminiscent of some upscale European hotels. Original artwork commissioned exclusively for Riviera Resort line the walls throughout common areas, hallways, and guest rooms. These beautiful pieces really bring the resort to life!
Possibly one of the biggest perks to staying at the Riviera Resort is being able to walk right onto the Skyliner transportation system, and be inside Epcot or Hollywood Studios within 10 minutes. Guests can utilize the bus system to get to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and the water parks. Another great bonus to Riviera Resort’s location, is that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is just across Barefoot Bay.
Riviera Resort offers modern guest rooms that are themed and ultra luxurious. The Tower Studios, which is the first room category of its kind, only sleeps up to 2 guests with a murphy-style pull down bed. Deluxe studios come with a kitchenette, while the 1- and 2-bedroom villas, and 3-bedroom grand villas that accommodate up to 12 guests have fully equipped kitchens.
The villas also include a washer and dryer! This is wonderful if you have kids – or like me – just don’t want to bring home dirty clothes. Each room features a balcony, although the views can vary. Adjoining rooms are available upon request, just let your agent know when booking your reservation. All Disney Resorts are smoke-free but offer designated outdoor smoking areas.
If you need help deciding which room type is right for your family and budget, our agents are happy to help!
In true European style, both pool areas offer high-quality lounge chairs and umbrellas. Complimentary life jackets and towels are also available for use.
The Riviera Pool
Open from 10am to 8pm, the Riviera Pool is the primary pool area with a 30’ tall winding tower slide.
Beau Soleil Leisure Pool
This pool is perfect for sunbathing or soaking in the adjacent hot tub.
S’il Vous Play
Possibly my favorite play on French words. Young ones under 48” tall will love this splash area with a fun Fantasia theme.
Bars
Bar Riva
An open-air pool bar with yummy drinks and tasty grab-and-go quick service items.
Voyageurs’ Lounge
Euro inspired cocktails, wine, spirits, and small bites are offered curtesy of Le Petit Café.
Quick Service
Primo Piatto
Casual dining offering sandwiches, salads, beer, and more throughout the day.
Le Petit Café
Morning coffee and pastry bar in the morning, and wine bar in the evening. Located in the resort’s lobby.
Vivoli il Gelato Cart
The cutest little gelato cart, serving up seasonal flavors, right by the resort pools.
Table Service
Topolino’s Terrace
Flavors of the Riviera – If you like your French and Italian cuisine with rooftop views, this might be the restaurant for you. The menu features Mediterranean/Riviera inspired pasta and seafood dishes.
Breakfast a la Art is a character dining experience with Mickey the Artist, Minnie the Poet, Daisey the Dancer, and Donald the Sculptor. The prix fixe meal includes fresh pastries and an entrée.
If the pure luxury in the design of this resort, complete ease of getting to the Skyliner, and possibly one of Disney’s absolute BEST character dining experiences isn’t enough to love this resort, then perhaps the uniquely fun outdoor activity areas will grab your heart. European-inspired games like lawn chess, bocce ball, and oversized connect four are fun for literally everyone!
