Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre

Drive on up to Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre, where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner in the comforts of a convertible or able at the Drive In! The most unique part of this dining experience? Sci Fi movies playing on the big screen! It is a Hollywood-style soundstage with twinkling lights where alien movies attack the main stage.

This dining location is in Hollywood Studios and theme park admission is necessary to dine. You can easily use Disney transportation (bus, boat, skyliner or walking) to arrive at Hollywood Studios. Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre is located on Commissary Lane next to Star Wars Land. You can enjoy lunch and dinner daily; lunch is served from 10:30 AM to 3:55 PM and dinner is from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM. If you are looking for your drive-in favorites, this is the location for you! Start out with wings, fried pickles or nachos, move onto burgers, chicken sandwiches or pasta. Be sure to save room for hot fudge sundae, caramel brownie cheesecake or the cookie shake. The dress code is them park casual, shorts and t-shirts are welcome!

We love eating here  because where else can you eat good eats and watch sci-fi movies from the past? The kids really enjoy sitting in the car while eating lunch or dinner. What appeals to families is that it is family friendly and a fun place for the kids to unwind after a busy day in the theme parks! It is a dark location so if you have children that do not like the dark make sure to keep this in mind. The prices here are a great value if you aren’t using the Disney Dining plan. The meal choices here in our opinion are better than quick service options.

Our go-to menu items are the fried pickles, crispy onion rings, Sci-Fi impossible nachos, Drive-In BBQ Burger, grilled chicken citrus salad, caramel brownie cheesecake and a hot fudge sundae. The kids have good choices here: chicken bites, mac & cheese, and burgers. Make sure they save room for dessert! The adults in the party, 21 and over, be sure to try the Long Island Lunar Tea, Spicy Martian Margarita, and other out of this world drinks. This restaurant has meals ranging from $15 to $34.99.

The Disney Dining Plan is accepted here, and reservations are recommended 60 days in advance, as this is a fan favorite. A walk-up reservation might be available but is not a guarantee. Disney Visa card holders, Vacation Club and annual passholders receive a discount on food here as well.

If you need to cancel your reservation, you cancel on the My Disney Experience app up to 2 hours prior to the reservation. If you do not, the credit card used to hold the reservation will be charged a per person fee for failure to show. The policy of the restaurant is included in the confirmation email sent after the dining reservation was made.
