“Falling in love with our country, one vacation rental at a time.” I don’t know about you, but I am the type of person that searches for surprises, life-changing experiences, and amazing abodes when I travel! Vacation rentals have become increasingly popular in recent years because travelers are now seeking out lodging accommodations that are more unique and memorable than your average hotel or resort. You may not remember the Hampton Inn you stayed at on your family’s Florida vacation, but you will remember the time you stayed in a romantic Georgia treehouse with your significant other for your 30th wedding anniversary! Whether it’s a train car in Ohio, a tiny house in California, or a treehouse in Georgia, there are tons of vacation rentals in the United States offering fun getaways, one-of-a-kind experiences, and memories to last a lifetime!
If you are someone who likes to be “one with nature” when you travel, a treehouse vacation rental would be perfect for you! Treehouse rentals offer quiet seclusion from the hustle and bustle of daily life, breathtaking scenery, and the most enchanting atmosphere you could ever dream of.
Meadowlark Treehouse
Meadowlark Treehouse at Montana Treehouse Retreat in Columbia Falls, Montana is the perfect place for a writer’s getaway, honeymoon, romantic escape, or an unforgettable family vacation. This treehouse was featured on DIY Network, HGTV, Time and Outside Magazine, so you know it is a special place! Situated on five wooded acres, this immaculately designed two-story treehouse has all the amenities you could ever need. The Treehouse’s grand entrance is a spiral staircase wrapped around a grand Douglas Fir. It has 500 square feet of living space, two outdoor deck areas, a full kitchen, dishwasher, stove, and three padded benches for entertaining, which also serve as sleeping quarters. Two living trees grow through the treehouse interior and two living trees rise through the treehouse decks outside. The master suite loft features a queen Tempur-Pedic mattress leading out to the second story deck through a sliding glass door. This makes for the perfect setting to enjoy a cup of coffee while overlooking your private, wooded scenery. One of the major highlights of this rental is that it is located only thirty minutes from Glacier National Park!
Canopy Blue Treehouse
Tucked away on four private acres in the Aska Adventure Area in Blue Ridge, Georgia is the Canopy Blue Treehouse. It is the ideal getaway for families and couples wanting to unplug from the city and enjoy quality time together. This 750 square foot treehouse is truly unlike any property you have ever seen! To enter the treehouse, you will head up the long ramp from the parking area. Upon entering the treehouse, you will notice the cozy, upscale living space with high ceilings and creative features. On the main level of the treehouse is a private bedroom featuring a queen-size bed, a large window with a bench seat, a bathroom with a tiled shower, a living area with a small sofa, bunk beds, and a built-in table. There is also a coffee bar, kitchen area, and French doors to the outside porch that overlooks the fire pit below. If you desire some separation, the loft area provides just that. Soak in the views from the hanging bed or relax in one of the recliners while watching your favorite show on the flat-screen TV. One of my favorite things about this vacation rental is that it overlooks Chattahoochee National Forest and has direct hiking access to the Benton MacKaye Trail right outside your door!
The Treehouse at Little Peak Creek Farm
The Treehouse at Little Peak Creek Farm is located on 25 acres of beautiful mountain land in Laurel Springs, North Carolina. The owners of this vacation rental are artists who have filled the treehouse with charming and creative elements that provide an adventure for the senses! The farmland offers endless opportunities for hiking and spending time with all the farm animals. There are donkeys, goats, chickens, turkeys, and ducks that each have their own story and personality. You can also gather your own eggs from the gypsy wagon where the chickens live! There are many outdoor activities to participate in nearby, including horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. The post beams used for construction of the treehouse were made of pines harvested from the property itself, and many of the materials were reclaimed from salvage or antique stores. The owner is a stained-glass artist and has designed three pieces that hang together in the treehouse, creating a stunning progression of a sunset in the mountains! An old apple tree stump makes up the bathroom sink and the clawfoot tub is positioned in front of an amazing view for a relaxing bath. The wood stove heats the treehouse and has a wonderful view of the fire while looking out the windows that surround you on all sides. What I love the most about this property is its unique design and the magical ambiance it creates for its guests!
