It’s simple to see in these two examples that accommodations can play a large role in the cost of a Walt Disney World trip. Amenities at a deluxe resort versus a value resort include more restaurants on-site, larger pool areas, closer proximity to the parks and additional transportation options such as the monorail or a boat. Other amenities may include a spa, specialty shops for clothing, balcony rooms and views of the parks from your room. For the family who wants to enjoy the parks from rope-drop to closing, it may not be worth it to splurge on the room if you are only sleeping at the resort. On the other hand, for a family that may want to take a break in the middle of the day, close proximity to the parks and multiple pool or splash-pad options may be worth the extra investment to make their vacation the most enjoyable.
