On Episode 5 of the Travel Tidbits podcast, Jamie is joined by Celina Kocher to discuss Winter Escapes – both for those who love cold weather and want to embrace and those who want to escape the cold!

Slice of Life

Celina grew up in the military and has lived in Germany and all over the US. Her experiences and her desire to travel with her family motivated her to become a travel agent. Her daughter, Elliott, had her passport at age 1 and has already visited 7 different countries.

Celina enjoyed the Pineapple Escapes training at Walt Disney World and Universal and is looking forward to more travel with the agency and with her family.

At The Core

Traveling during the winter season seems to go one of two ways – clients who love the winter weather and want to enjoy it by skiing and enjoying a cup of cocoa in a wintery ski lodge – and clients who dislike the cold and want to escape it! Luckily, Pineapple Escapes agents can help, no matter which type of winter travel their clients prefer.

Jamie and her family recently returned from Estes Park, Colorado where they enjoyed hiking through the snow in Rocky Mountain National Park. They rented a house and found it was a perfect way to travel while social distancing. The mountains were beautiful and a great way for her family to kick-off the holiday season.

Celina and her husband have been skiing frequently and she has numerous ideas regarding the perfect places to ski, both near and far in the US! She can’t wait to have the opportunity to take her family skiing in a few years when her youngest is a bit older.

Jamie personally prefers to escape the cold and always finds herself traveling to get away from the grey days in the Midwest in January and February. Pineapple Escapes agents are full of ideas for escaping the cold. Florida, Mexico, and the Caribbean are discussed.

Crushed It

This week’s must-have is a portable charger. Both Celina and Jamie don’t travel without their portable chargers. They use a smaller charger for in the parks and have a larger charger for more extended charging needs and to charge all of their families devices.

The TG90 10000mah Power Bank

For more robust charging needs, they recommend the Anker Portable 20000mah power bank!

Both are 5 Pineapple Rings!
